See ballet star Sergei Polunin perform to Rite of Spring on 7,8,9 March in Belgrade

Polunin’s breathtaking performance SACRÉ is on 7, 8 and 9 March on the main stage of the National Theatre in Belgrade, starting 7.30 pm.

The choreography by  Yuka Oishi reinterprets the greatest male dancer of the early 20th century, Vaslav Nijinski. Dancing to Stravinsky, Polunin is exploring Nijinsky’s ‘madness’ and his demand for ‘feeling, not thinking Human’.

Taste local and Balkan cheese in Belgrade on 9 and 10 March

Balkan Cheese Festival is in its 9th edition. There will be over 200 cheeses to taste! Insider tip no. 1 says you must try the goat cheese Budimirović, a quiet mega star, not available through retail, just at selected restaurants. Insider tip no.2  is to cleanse your palates between the tastings by chewing apple slices.

See street art being made in Belgrade on 11 – 16 March

Irish artist James Early will produce 180 m2 of wall art right in front of you! From 11 to 16 March at Maršala Birjuzova 16.

James has been a part of Dublin’s graffiti and street art scene since 1997, mastering expressionism and improvisation on large scale. He’s the author of the largest mural in Ireland, the complete facade of Blooms hotel in Dublin’s popular downtown Temple Bar area.

Early’s performance is a part of Belgrade Irish Fest 9 – 17 March.
