Explore New Belgrade as it celebrates 77th birthday on 11 April

Indeed we recognize Aries attributes in New Belgrade, the city built with the intention to be the capital of Socialist Yugoslavia and developed with the ambition to lead the entire Non Aligned world. New Belgrade intrigues brutalist architecture lovers and world politics explorers. Make it a dynamic ride, as you can cycle along the Sava and Danube, or hop on and off the public transportation. Make sure to allow at least two hours. We suggest starting from the Museum of Contemporary Art, for the vistas of the old town across the river, fantastic sculptures in public space and Museum’s timeless architecture. For an iconic representation of brutalism and practicing your photo skills, head to Genex Tower (the photo above is by an awarded photographer and high school friend Sonja Žugić).

Dive into the unique imagination and artistic expression that could have happened only in these lands, where a farmer found inspiration in Vienna, fleeing from Pannonian plain to escape death in concentration camp. Bosilj founded his own pictorial language which communicates and astonishes art lovers and collectors in Europe and America.
