Walking Belgrade Private Tour Guides
Private guides who engage travelers with the unique cultural value of Belgrade

Ksenija Kastratović, MA Art History, Founder & Guide
Ksenija Kastratović is a Belgrade-born art historian, licensed tour guide and the founder of Walking Belgrade, a tour operator specializing in private thematic tours of Belgrade.
Her academic background gave Ksenija a deep knowledge of the history, art and architecture of Belgrade and Serbia, while growing up and living in the city gave her a personal experience of the places and cultural phenomena she now introduces to visitors.
As a child she played at Kalemegdan Park of Belgrade Fortress, then spent school years in brutalist blocks in New Belgrade, and her university and early working years in Belgrade’s historical centre. After the first 10 years of her corporate career in Human Resources, Ksenija left for Rome, Italy, where she spent two years, attending graduate studies in Art History at La Sapienza University and cultural tours guiding courses.
Upon her return to Belgrade, Ksenija founded Walking Belgrade in 2016. The tours she curates and guides connect the visitors with Belgrade’s history and architecture, Orthodox and Yugoslav heritage, sacral and contemporary art, traditional food at farmers’ market and local fashion designers.
Ksenija’s aim is to help visitors understand and experience Belgrade through conversations about the topics they are curious about, along thematic itineraries that explore places unique to the city.

Igor Mijović, MA History, Guide
Born in Belgrade in 1999, two weeks before NATO intervention in then’s Yugoslavia. Since he was little Igor was fascinated with history, which was only helped by his grandfather who took him to castles, fortresses and ancient archaeological sites. No wonder Igor completed masters studies in Medieval History at the University of Belgrade.
As a teenager, Igor lived in Indonesia, with his parents and sister. That’s where he first developed his appetite for Asian food, diverse cultures and building connections with people from all around the world.
Igor worked as a specialized guide at the Belgrade Fortress, an assistant curator at the Museum of the 90s in Belgrade and a grammar school history teacher.
A licensed tour guide since 2024, he’s been travelling the world and Serbia and bringing the little known human stories back to life. Igor’s interests besides history include gastronomy, the fine art of wine and beer tasting, and last but not least, the endless beauty of architecture.
